About the event
Courage to Be Her is a Refugee Week storytelling and film project for LGBTQ+ women and girls seeking sanctuary in Lewisham. It offers a safe, trauma-informed space to explore and share personal stories in a way that feels comfortable — whether on camera, anonymously, or simply by being present. The project focuses on courage, identity, and belonging, and will be shared through a short film during Refugee Week.
