Internships & Volunteering
Our Internship & Volunteering Programme provides opportunities for people who want to gain practical experience, build confidence, develop professional skills and contribute to the work of Proud to Be Me CIC.

Opportunities can exist across our education, community, administration, operations, outreach, fundraising, marketing, content, salon, employability and programme delivery teams.

People may apply directly, or we can receive introductions and referrals from organisations supporting people into employment, education, training and volunteering.

This may include Jobcentre/DWP professionals, employment specialists, colleges, universities, supported employment services, community organisations and other referral partners.
We ask participants to commit to at least 16 hours per week, including one full day on Monday, with the remaining hours agreed according to the role and availability. Remote working may be available on Thursdays and Fridays for appropriate roles.
Placements normally run for six months, with the possibility of extension.
